Garikai oversees translating the ideas, work, and mission of Co-Develop into strategic messages that effectively engage key stakeholders and partners.
Garikai is a Communication and Stakeholder Management professional having worked with 39 African countries and 52 private sector and international partners in order to drive digital transformation across Africa. He joins Co-Develop from Smart Africa where he led communication, private sector partnerships, and public sector stakeholder management, including managing the Smart Africa Alliance Board with 39 African Heads of State, the World Bank, ITU, and the GSMA, convening the Council of African Regulators with 54 ICT and data protection regulatory bodies, and standing up the Steering Committee co-chaired by the ITU and the African Union with ICT Ministers from 39 African countries.
Garikai holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Management (India), a post-graduate diploma in Public Administration from Cambridge International Qualifications, and a BSc (Hon) Degree in Psychology from the University of Zimbabwe.
When he is not at work Garikai likes to write poetry and has published two books of poetry, which can be found online (upon request, Garikai may be willing to point readers in the right direction).
