Uruguay’s digital transformation journey, led by AGESIC (Agency for Electronic Government and Information and Knowledge Society), has revolutionised public service delivery.

A major achievement is the launch of ID Uruguay and Firma.gub.uy, the nation’s digital identity and e-signature platforms.

They enable over 1.6 million citizens to securely access over 190 services and complete 1,500 online procedures.

By integrating physical ID cards, possessed by 85% of Uruguayans, into a digital framework, Uruguay has simplified interactions between the government and its citizens.
